I fell in love with Nantucket the first time I visited with my family and remained a visitor for many years. When we decided to retire we made the island our home. With its rich history, beautiful beaches, fine dining, miles of bike paths and charming rose covered cottages Nantucket offers a wonderful quality of life.
I wanted to start a local company that would showcase some of these features. We have a selection of quality hand crafted gifts and puzzles to select from. Each item highlights a unique aspect of our tiny island. If you don’t see what you want please let me know and I may be able to work with you to create it.
In addition to our offerings, we wanted to provide you with access to the things we have discovered living here and wanted to make sure more people enjoyed them so check the ‘Things We Like’ and ‘About Nantucket ‘ section.
Thank you for visiting us.

Selene Smerling
Selene Smerling is an artist whose work features a naive yet deliberate perspective on the natural world. Her current work is rendered in oil on paper and depicts objects that people usually take for granted, a pocket watch, a chair and an antique tin toy. Her work can take you on a wonderful journey in line, color and spontaneity. She paints simple objects in ways that highlight their natural beauty and abstract form, revealing great mystery, drama and beauty.
For the last ten years, Selene has sold paintings to private and corporate clients and published illustrations on book covers, stationary and in magazines and newspapers.
She earned a BFA from Syracuse University where she studied painting and illustration. She continued her studies in London with Syracuse University's program abroad and has exhibited her paintings at The Chelsea Town Hall, London.
Some previous clients include: Loews Theaters (NY), The Children's Television Workshop (NY), Maple Lane Press (NJ), Addison Wesley Publishers (NY), Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Rhode Island, Inscribe (Cambridge, MA), and Boston Children's Theatre.
Selene has been painting since she was eight years old growing up in Rhode Island. She now has a studio in Irvington-On-Hudson, NY where she lives with her husband and their two sons.
